This photo was sent in by Tasmanian member Pete Cousins. He says:

"You may remember at Cobram, I told you about a mate of mine, Geoff Dodge, from the 60s who spent the first night of his honeymoon in a caravan towed by a TR. Well, I contacted his wife Heather, who agreed to let me have the photo above which was taken in 1962.

I told her the reason that I wanted the photo was to give a copy to the TR Register in NSW. She saw no problem with that and kindly agreed to let it rip! Actually the honeymoon site was a favourite stopping place in the 60s for sports convoys to rectify hypothermia in the wee hours of winter nights, being about halfway between Hobart & Launceston.

First there had to get a blaze going then the nerves were dulled by alcohol. It usually worked. So Geoff stopping there was rather symbolic!
Who said Tasmanians weren't romantic?
What rational woman could resist that?"
