“An ex-presidential conveyance is offered for sale to discerning buyers"
"1958 TR3A 'Winston' has been owned by me from early 2001 and has since undergone a series of upgrades and improvements to make it a reliable and fast touring car. This car is a super reliable, enjoyable everyday driver, on full NSW registration until May 2012, and has been driven to all the far away national meetings and on several TR Tours.
The car features strong 72 spoke TR6 wire wheels with Falken performance tyres, rack and pinion steering, hi torque starter, alternator, 87mm pistons, extractors, HS6 SU carbs on a TR4A inlet manifold, upgraded radiator with electric fan, power disc brakes, fully functioning overdrive, air horns, wind deflectors, safety roll bar, safety harnesses. Tonneau and hood are in good condition, new battery, unique wood dash and Momo steering wheel, stainless luggage rack. Sidescreens need a little work, but we have never used them in 10 years.
The car underwent a bare metal respray in late 2006 and has a full Smithees performance suspension system, with uprated springs, shock absorbers and a rear Panhard bar.
The car handles beautifully.
A TR4 rear axle, with guards flared to suit, give the car a more rugged look than standard
