"A small but dedicated band of hardy Register members (some who will remain nameless preferring the comfort of modern automobiles) took to the hills to experience the novelty of cold weather in Queensland . A weekend of contrasts with rain (finally), freezing winds and beaut winter sunshine, coupled with the now famous “Happy Hours”, great dining and great company, you couldn't ask for more. We even managed some great TR driving on country roads. The weekend was superbly organised by Julie and Richard Oliver who even arranged for the lowest temperature in the state of minus 2 degrees at our base in Warwick on Monday morning. Those dynamic senior citizens Reg and Dulcie Cosgrove (wont mention their ages but they have been married for 57 years) provided inspiration for the younger members by showing you never stop having fun in a Sidescreen. |
