The TRoppo TouR of Queensland - May 2003

Many thanks to Bob & Cherryle Watters for organising yet another successful TT tour for the TR Register.

Also thanks to the Queensland members who added to the event by supplying plenty of good old Queensland hospitality.

The Tour included 17 cars from Victoria, NSW and Queensland. Unfortunately Merv & Marcia had to drop-out early in the Tour as Merv was not well. Many thousands of miles were done with only minor problems. My odometer recorded 4,020 kilometres but the Victorian crews of Lesley & Tony Xerri and Kate & Ian Cuss would have done considerably more. [Late report from Cussy - "we coverd 4954 km with an average of 34.6 MPG - pretty good!]

CREWS: Watters / Pikes / Fletchers / Cunninghams / Muddles / Collens / Xerris / Bucks / Newling (Bill) / Slenders / Wright-Polglaze / Pereiras / Mitchell (Allan) / Wannells / Cuss' / James' / Elys

VISITED: South West Rocks (NSW), Yamba, Burleigh, Gold Coast & hinterland, Bribie Island, Noosa, Brisbane, Macleans Bridge, Tamborine, Gympie, Hervey Bay, Fraser Island, Warwick and a multitude of places in between. Considering the amount of rain around the country, we were blessed - only a couple of showers throughout the trip.

Here are some photos - mostly from Lesley, Rick & Bob.
