The Wheels Display Day is an annual event, arranged by the ACT Council of Motor Clubs. It began around 20 years ago, when one of the local charities approached the Council seeking funding. There was an inaugural display at the Phillip showground, which proved so popular that it was decided to hold the event each year. Nowadays, the 54 (or thereabouts) car clubs in the ACT are invited to display their cars, and the public pay a small admittance fee to the showground. Proceeds from the day are distributed among three nominated charities each year, so that all the approved charitable organisations get a slice of the pie in rotation. |

| This year the display was as good as ever, despite some
threatening weather. A number of Register members from
the ACT and NSW displayed their TRs as part of the display
organised by the Triumph Club of the ACT. (This Club is so well organised that it has its own barbeque trailer, and the Club does a roaring trade in providing breakfasts to the hungry hordes.) |

| If you want to see hundreds of vintage and classic cars, stationary engines, motor bikes, plus some rather bizarre vehicles (like a car which can lurch alarmingly, and roll like a drunk), then book a date with Wheels '03, coming to the ACT around February next year. You won't be sorry you went. |
