Allan is a Life Member and founding member of the TR Register of Australia. For many years he managed (perhaps slaved over) the spare parts supply for the club from a shed in his back yard.

Allan says: "I have owned two blue TR3As in my 39 years of owning TR's. I fell in love with blue TRs at age 15 when my sister's boyfriend drove into our place in one. Until then I had never seen or heard of TRs. At age 18 while still on P-Plates I went on to buy that same car for $1000, when he bought a new Morgan. Unfortunately I wrote it off 12 months later on Michelin tyres in the rain. With the insurance money I bought another blue one which I have now owned for 40 years. I would never change the colour of my present car (2008)."
