14-15 August - Winton Raceway will be host to the Marque Sports Car Association (MSCA) who are running round 8 of their series of Supersprint events. These days draw a huge entry of every kind of sporting car, from giant Supercar- style touring cars, modern sporting cars to classic British sports cars, some of which are sixty years old and more. It's a colourful display of every kind of sporting car looking and sounding wonderful whilst performing on the track.
A feature at this meeting will be the All Triumph Challenge. This is a special event promoted by the Triumph Sports Owners Association (TSOA), an Australia - wide association exclusively for Triumphs. This unique event will showcase over 70 years of the marque with all cars on the track at the same time. The event attracts entries from Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales and is expected to be a premier event in the Triumph sporting calendar.
The Triumph sporting car history runs from just after World War II and shows the passing of time of car design. The early marques are the 'sidescreens' so called for their lack of wind-up windows and known for their classic flowing lines. The marque will progress through a 40 year timeline to the giant and powerful Triumph TR 8's with thundering V8 engines and dazzling speed. Every car style will be on track - open sports cars, sedans and others.
The All Triumph Challenge is an inclusive event, with driver training and motorkhana events on Saturday allowing drivers as young as 12 years able to compete and learn - it is expected that the driver age range will go from young teens to septuagenarians! The main Triumph Challenge is on-track on Sunday.
For Triumph enthusiasts wanting an alternative to the track, the "Enjoy Benalla" organisation is providing guidance and information on the regional scenery, wineries and restaurants in the area. It is expected that many of the group will enjoy the street art, the silo tour and the Benalla Art Gallery and gardens.
Every car enthusiast will have a great day watching beautiful cars of every description at their best on the track. There will be a great showing of classic Triumph sports, good food and great entertainment. It will be a great day of motor SPORT - come out for the day and enjoy!
Booking accommodation is often a stumbling block to a weekend away. People don't know where to go, everyone goes to different places or forgets to book and can't come. This "ticker" is to encourage people to book in and do it in time. The motels have been taken from the Winton Raceway website, so we are supporting the track by using these suppliers.
I rang all of these places and checked how many rooms they have now for Friday 13th and Saturday 14th August as of today and the result is below. We can publish this table in magazines, websites etc so people can choose and book their own accommodation.

REMEMBER TO MENTION YOU ARE FROM TSOA AND YOU ARE GOING TO A WINTON RACEWAY EVENT! ALL THESE MOTELS SUPPORT THE RACETRACK AND IT IS GOOD FOR US TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT TO THEM!
Then we repeat this exercise each month or fortnight and republish so people can see what is still available and where they can go. They can also get a feel for how quickly places are booking out.
